Only the finest quality raw materials are used in our range of acrylics. The pigments are chosen for their brilliance, colour development and light fast properties. A high level of pigmentation is added. Fillers are kept to a minimum and only used to create a desired effect. All pigments are non­toxic and have excellent archival properties. Binders of the highest quality are used in the manufacturing process in order to guarantee durability and protection of the pigments. SchubART Acrylics are formulated to give a high sheen finish, making them resistant to water and dirt uptake.

artist ACRYLIC PAINTS

Professional quality Artist’s Acrylics consist of a range of bright, lightfast and vibrant colours for the artist who demands superior quality at affordable prices. The colours have high pigment levels to give optimum opacity and performance combined with a 100% pure acrylic binder for maximum durability. The acrylics have a soft and buttery consistency with an attractive satin finish. They have excellent brush stroke retention. The range consists of 50 colours which includes the standard historic colours as well as some natural/ earthy colours making colour selection a lot easier for the artist.

STUDENT acrylic

This range consists of the same 50 colours as the Artists Acrylics,making the transition from Student Acrylics to Artist’s Acrylic a lot easier. Only high quality, light fast pigments are used. Viscosity is lower than that of the Artist’s Acrylics, but due to the high pigment loading still offers exceptional coverage. Student Acrylics have an attractive satin finish due to the high level of acrylic binder and low level of inert fillers. Quality and value make for an excellent choice for students.

ACRYLIC GLAZECOAT

Acrylic Glazecoats come in different finishes:
Gloss – Satin – Matt
They can be used as a varnish or binding medium.

CLEAR ACRYLIC MEDIUM

Clear Acrylic Medium is an Artist’s Acrylic without the pigment. It is used as an extender or can also be used for impasto work.

Acrylic Gel is used for impasto work. It dries to a clear glossy finish.

ACRYLIC MODELLING PASTE

Modelling Paste is a high bodied acrylic that will keep it’s texture without cracking. Ideal for any relief work. Can be over coated with acrylics or oils.

Canvas Primers are designed to protect the raw canvas and impart a desired surface on which to apply oils or acrylics.

RETARDER

Retarder is designed to slow down the drying time of acrylics.

Gesso

Also designed to protect the canvas and impart desired texture. This has a mixture of chalk with the binder which lends to absorbency in the priming coat.
